White Water Rafting in South Carolina
Most white water rafting rivers in South Carolina are located near Sumter and Chattahoochee National Forest in the Northwest corner of the state. White water rafters can float relaxing Class II rapids or plummet down a tough Class V canyon through dense forests and undeveloped lands. One river, the Chattooga, has even been designated Wild & Scenic and flows freely along the South Carolina/Georgia border.

Wildwater Limited South Carolina White Water Rafting

Wildwater Limited has been a white water rafting outfitter for more than thirty years. They run half and full-day trips on the Chattooga River in South Carolina and also run trips on rivers in bordering states. They can accommodate children as young as eight years old on Section II of the Chattooga and ten year-olds on Section III. On Section III they also offer a self-guide option, allowing guests to captain their own raft down the river. Wildwater offers several lodging options near many of the rivers they run, including rooms in their own Chauga River House Bed & Breakfast. Discounted rafting/accommodation package trips are available as well as discounted trips for students on a tight budget.

One guest had this to say about their Wildwater experience:

“We've taken numerous rafting trips with Wildwater over the years and we have never been disappointed. Their courteous staff treats us like neighbors."

-K. Hoffman
